Hi! I’m Sara Dove, the “Dove Doula” around here.

I have always had a passion for caring for women during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. After spending 4 years working for a non profit ministry as an advocate and childbirth educator for mothers in need, my fascination turned to passion when I attended her first birth as a doula - which happened to be for my sister, Susanna! Her first born baby girl is the one in the photo with me on this page.

Women deserve the absolute best as they enter into the sacred process of motherhood. I love being a doula because I get to “mother the mother”. Ensuring that my clients receive the highest quality care for their birth preferences is my top priority.

In my free time, you can find me sweating at my local gym, brewing homemade kombucha, and reading any book Ina May Gaskin has written.

My Approach

As women, we are taught from a young age that birth is painful, unnatural, and scary. Movies show women in extreme pain screaming as a doctor delivers their baby. Videos about traumatic and painful births go viral on our feeds.

What if I told you this is not how birth was meant to be? In reality, birth can be pleasant, peaceful, and even pain-free! My mission is to equip mothers with valuable information about the natural God-given gifts of their body, their instincts, and their choices. Birth is miraculous and beautiful. It can be messy, it can be intense, it can be empowering.

My approach as a doula is to personalize care for women as they bring their babies earth-side.

I proudly serve as a doula for first-time moms as well as veteran moms, women who want natural homebirths and those who feel most comfortable giving birth at a hospital.
